One thing that I really enjoy while working with my Network Marketing business is learning the “Art of Leverage.”

On occasion someone will ask me “What is leverage? What do you mean by that term leverage?” As I try to explain it, the words sometimes become clumsy and don’t do the “Art of Leverage” justice. But I keep trying in hopes that I will get closer in describing it as powerfully as I experience it. Here goes another try.

One could describe it as the art of working smarter, with seemingly less effort, while accomplishing more. Sometimes it even amounts to a great deal more. If I have a customer base of 900 people and I alone were their support, certainly I could end up never really providing much service to anyone while at the same time working 24 hours a day trying to do it.

On the other hand if I find 30 people who also want to build a powerful business and future, we could each take care of 30 people and we could all manage that with no problem and everyone wins. The customer, the distributors, and the company all win. In the beginning I worked very hard to find customers.

When I learned about leverage it became my focus to attract very committed business partners to work together with as a team. My business took on a whole new dimension at that time and I began to experience leverage in a whole new way. Teamwork is incredible leverage because …..Together Everyone Earns More. I don’t need to be the expert in everything, I’ve got amazing people on my team that can make up for any shortcomings I might have.

Building a large and successful Network Marketing business is very much like a songwriter that receives royalties over a lifetime and beyond. Hey, Elvis Presley makes a fortune every year, and he has been dead for how long?

The key is to have an exceptional product line and an exceptional company that transcends modern trending. Amazon Herb Company is a great example because the superfood nutrition coming from the Rainforest is spectacular today and it will be spectacular in 100 years. Nothing can beat nature at its finest!

There is a further dimension of leverage that I’ve also experienced as an Eco-Entrepreneur with the Amazon Herb Company. You see it offers much greater leverage than I ever dreamed was possible, not only in the financial arena but literally in all aspects of life. In my ten years with the company I am seeing that every aspect of my life has been enhanced. I am a better husband, father, friend, business associate, and entrepreneur. My health has improved, my spiritual life is more connected, and I am just in general a more whole, loving, healthy person. I have more time, more commitment, more focus, and more financial wherewithal. I feel like I am developing life skills that will enable me to do literally anything at all that I am called to do, and I am just so grateful.

The “Art of Leverage” is fun to learn and practice. It can be as simple as handing someone a powerful CD that explains what you do instead of spending 30 minutes or more trying to explain the power of your business with them. I let the CD do it for me. But hey, there are endless ways to leverage your time, money and resources. You will never think the same or be the same after you experience the potency of working smart and leveraging your time and effort. I would certainly encourage everyone to learn about and practice this powerful art and we can all watch our business and lives grow in powerful and dynamic ways.

All the best, all the time,

-Dr. Dave

Can Business Protect Our Natural Resources?

A New Paradigm of Business – Capitalism as a Tool for Transformation

Imagine a world where we truly live and do business in integrity with our values. Imagine a world where the most successful businesses are those that not only turn a large profit but also create positive social and environmental change. Imagine businesses taking the responsibility to transform the planet, to advocate peace, global partnerships, and ecological preservation. Imagine companies that promote employee development and family values.

Business is a powerful force on the planet. Can it be used to improve life on earth? Many people blame business for the destruction of the planet and culture. Now a growing number of eco-commerce advocates are pointing to business as the solution, not the problem.

While nonprofits and charities offer part of the solution to global issues, business may have a louder voice thanks to careful consumers. A leading organization Green America Business Network, comprised of over 2000 businesses, helps small socially and environmentally responsible businesses emerge and thrive by publicizing the success of these businesses. We are saving the planet one purchase at a time.

Companies can lead the way and pioneer a fast growing movement that allows customers to vote with their dollars. Even on Wall Street, socially responsible investing is a valid and popular request. Mutual Funds that screen for fair labor practices, nontoxic products and nonviolent companies have proven to be competitive with other traditional mutual funds. Stockholders are voting for conscious business practices. Investing with values makes sense to people who recognize the power of money to instigate peace and positive change.

Amazon Herb Market is another example of this new evolved paradigm in business. Partnering with the Amazon Herb Company, www.amazonherbmarket.com offers sustainably harvested herbs from the Amazon. Working with 14 villages in the upper basin of Peru, a relationship based on mutual respect and trust allows the indigenous people to preserve 100s of thousands of acres while proving that the Rainforest is more valuable alive than dead. Recent studies show that an acre of Rainforest used for cattle grazing is valued at $60. That same acre used for lumber is worth $400, and when used to sustainably wild-craft herbs its value increases to $2,400 and it remains intact as a living and thriving environment.

“The beauty of our company is that we provide people with not only products to improve their lives, but a means to contribute to the preservation of the Rainforest. In this way we use commerce as a powerful tool for positive change in an economically sustainable model,” states John Easterling of Amazon Herb Company. Their products promote better health and vitality for consumers while helping the planet.

Conscious Business is on the rise. You can make a difference by shopping wisely, supporting green business and starting your own enterprises that make our planet a healthy home for all and for many generations to come. As Paul Hawkins writes, “Ironically, business contains our blessing. It must, because no other institution in the modern world is powerful enough to foster the necessary changes.”

Use business to our favor. It is not the enemy. Business done correctly is our ally.
